Nicholas Snider

Nicholas is thrilled being back home to forecast the weather! He has been a weather geek for his entire life, having a passion for forecasting snowfall and severe thunderstorms. 2 events he remembers growing up are the 2007 Valentine's day snow storm, and particularly severe (and even rotating) thunderstorm that impacted the lakeshore communities on the west side in 2010.

Nicholas grew up in Lakewood, on the west side, and is a proud 2017 graduate of St. Ignatius high school. After high school, Nicholas moved to Athens, OH from 2017-2021 to study at Ohio University (go bobcats), where he holds his Bachelor of Science in meteorology. During his time in college, he gained valuable on-air experience at WOUB-TV. He also discovered a love for storm chasing after gaining the opportunity to partake in a 2 week storm chasing class in the Great Plains in 2019.

Nicholas started his career in Twin Falls Idaho as a meteorologist at KMVT-TV. After 2 years, he was able to move back a little closer to home, where he worked in Huntington, WV as a meteorologist at WSAZ-TV for 3 years. Here, he met his fiancée, who is from Ashland, KY. He was finally able to get the opportunity to come home in 2026!

Outside of work, you're likely to see Nicholas golfing or skiing (depending on the time of year) at some of the local areas. You may also see him and his fiancée checking out many of the local restaurants, as he loves food (maybe a little too much). He is also a huge Cavs, Guardians, and Browns fan.
