Portland, OR

Ward Jolles is a Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter at FOX 12 Oregon. Ward will anchor Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights and will report on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Ward grew up in the small town of Orangeburg, South Carolina and received his degree in broadcast journalism from the University of South Carolina in 2021 (He calls it "the real USC"). He comes to Portland from Louisville, Kentucky where he worked as a Breaking News Anchor and Investigative Reporter for two years. There, Ward worked with WAVE's
"Troubleshooter" team and covered a variety of topics, including the arrest of golfer Scottie Scheffler, the Breonna Taylor raid, the city's crackdown on homelessness and numerous destructive weather events. Before Louisville, Ward also worked in Madison, Wisconsin and in Columbia, South Carolina.
When he's not working, Ward likes to grab some food or drinks at a local brewery or dive bar and going on hikes with his golden retriever, Maddie. He's also an avid reader and film buff and loves playing Pickleball with his friends.
Ward is new to Portland and loves to meet new people, so feel free to say hi or send story ideas to him.
