Digital Content Producer and Assignment Desk Editor

Ashley Pomplas joined Cleveland 19 News in October 2025 as a digital content producer and assignment desk editor.
She is from Fairport Harbor, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University with her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Sports Management. She also attended Lakeland Community College as a College Credit Plus student in high school where she earned her Associate of Arts degree.
While in college, she participated in many organizations including WOUB Hardwood Heroes, the student-run newspaper The Post and wrote for Ohio University Athletics. She is also a proud alum of the Ohio University Marching 110.
Before WOIO Ashley interned at STERIS as the Field Communications Intern and worked for The Athens Messenger as a Sports Editor intern her senior year of college. In her senior capstone course, she was the Multimedia Editor where she found her passion for all things digital.
Outside of work you can find her out with her friends, trying a new coffee shop or reading a book. She also enjoys swimming and is a big sports fan. Her favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Ashley also loves spending time with her boyfriend, Joey, and their dog, Peaches.
