Taneisha Cordell is an Anchor at FOX 19 Now. She joined the team after reporting and anchoring at FOX 2 in Detroit, Michigan and WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, where she earned three Central Great Lakes Emmy nominations. Before that, she reported at Local 3 in Chattanooga, TN and WPSD-TV in Paducah, Kentucky. Throughout her career, Taneisha has covered a wide range of stories, including hard-hitting crime coverage, breaking news, severe weather and stories rooted in the everyday lives of the communities she serves.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Taneisha is the oldest of three siblings. She leads with her spiritual faith and empathy in all aspects of her life, believing in the power of storytelling. Her work is guided by the desire to uplift others, especially young people navigating the justice system and those navigating moments of transition, healing and rebuilding. She is committed to finding the heart of a story, listening deeply and honoring those who trust her to share their experiences.
A graduate of the University of Miami in Florida, Taneisha holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Theatre. She was also a track and field scholarship athlete at The U. She is an NCAA All-American, a former Ohio Division I High School State Record Holder in the 800-meter run and current record holder in the girls 4x400-meter relay set in 2009.
With a true adventurer's spirit, Taneisha loves traveling, working out and trying new restaurants. She’s also a music lover with two published EPs.
