Raymond Cotis
Digital content producer, assignment desk editor
Cleveland, Ohio

Raymond Cotis joined Cleveland 19 News in July 2026 as a part-time digital content producer and assignment desk editor.
Raised in Medina County and pursuing higher education, Raymond graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication. He is starting his Masters degree at the University of Akron in the fall of 2026 as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletics Department.
Throughout his undergrad at Bowling Green State University, he was very active with student organizations, such as BG Falcon Media, a student-led news organization that covers everything in the Bowling Green community. Starting as an intern teaching classes, and volunteering as a crew member for their newscasts, Raymond moved up as an Executive Producer for BG24 helping to revive The Swoop, BG Falcon Media’s live sports talk show. In his senior year he took over as the Director for BG24, leading the way to push a new graphics system while converting productions of The Swoop, BG Weekly, and Community Corner from live-to-tape to livestreaming through YouTube.
Alongside his work with BG Falcon Media, Raymond also worked as a Student Leader for WBGU-PBS, Bowling Green State University’s PBS-affiliate. It was there Raymond established himself as a Director/Producer for all sports through ESPN and videoboard productions, helping to improve work opportunities and relations between BGSU Athletics and the School of Media and Communication.
When not working Raymond enjoys spending time with friends, finding a new spot to fish or playing instruments. He’s been a lifelong Cleveland sports fan and grew up playing football from youth to high school. With a background in sports broadcast productions he works freelance with the Akron RubberDucks as a creative services intern, and with Classic Teleproductions.
